Scottish Borders Council has launched a Judicial Review against the Scottish Government. Earlier in 2026 the Scottish Government disregarded the council’s statutory objection to eight 200 metre tall turbines in the Lammermuirs Special Landscape Area.
This is great news for local democracy and due process. We congratulate Scottish Borders Council for holding the Scottish Government to account this way.
