Looking east to Ditcher Law where turbines three times the height of Dunlaw are proposed.

Please take a few minutes to object to Epower’s ridiculous ‘indicative’ grid connection proposal for its 200 metre tall windfarm application at Ditcher Law, Oxton. Deadline: Wednesday 23rd September.

Points to include:
>> The Court of Session judged in February 2026 that it would be ‘irrational’ to assess a windfarm without also considering the impact of the grid connection.
>> Epower’s grid connection document is indicative and subject to change. Impact cannot be judged on such uncertain grounds.
>> The proposed connection point at Dunlaw windfarm substation would be unable to carry up to 52.8 MW of output without significant grid reinforcement.
>> Scottish Borders Council objected to Ditcher Law windfarm application in September 2025. The whole proposal, including a credible grid connection plan, must now go to Reporter for a Public Inquiry.
